Girls’ Calligraphy Exercise

A cute little weasel made of pale-blue snow is living in our fridge. It studied art history in the nineties and was a critic for a while.

It feeds on veal and tender duck meat with sesame sauce and lemon marinade. It also appreciates sweet chestnuts, sashimi, and noodles and is blessed with a good appetite. We make it work for every meal so that it doesn’t wallow in ingratitude. At noon, the fridge door is opened, for, among other things, ventilation. Then the weasel must utter a new thought that it has concocted in the darkness.

If the thought is round and sparkles, the weasel gets its dinner. The little fellow has a notebook of absorbent bamboo paper and a ballpoint pen with a whirring electric cell inside that keeps the ink warm and flowing. He uses it to note down preliminaries, ideas, similes..
