The Revenants
<p><em>The Revenants</em> is the ninth issue of a series of publications issued by Wilfried Lentz Rotterdam. <em>The Revenants</em> is published as an accompaniment to the exhibition <em>The Revenants</em> by Moyra Davey at Wilfried Lentz Rotterdam (April 11 – June 21, 2015). This artist publication is signed and numbered in an edition of 250 by Moyra Davey. Texts by Moyra Davey and Hannah Gregory.</p> <p>The title “The Revenants,” comes from the French word meaning “to return,” refers to Davey’s evocation of both literary history and personal history. Inspired by the experimental modernist architecture of our gallery space, <em>The Revenants</em> represents a continuation of Davey’s exploration of the life and work of Jean Genet, the infamous author and playwright who discovered his consciousness as a writer while in prison.</p>
